RenderScope does not collect, store, or share any personal data. We do not use analytics, tracking cookies, or third-party scripts. The extension runs entirely on your local machine.
Data Collection
We do not collect any personal information. When you use RenderScope to inspect a website, the analysis happens locally within your browser. No data about the sites you visit or the content you view is sent to our servers or any third parties.
Permissions
RenderScope requires specific browser permissions to function properly. Here is why we need them:
- activeTab
Allows the extension to access the content of the current tab only when you click the extension icon. This is necessary to fetch the page's source code for analysis.
- scripting
Allows us to inject CSS to highlight or visualize elements on the page (like the split view overlay) without modifying the actual page content permanently.
Third-Party Services
We do not integrate with any third-party analytics services (like Google Analytics, Mixpanel, etc.) inside the extension. The extension is completely self-contained.
Updates to Privacy Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Since we collect no data, these updates will likely be minor clarifications. Major changes will be communicated via the extension update notes.
